Library Opening Slowed?
Dear Editor,
I have learned from reliable sources that although the North Webster Community Public Library staff is currently in the process of moving library books and office equipment into the new library building, they will be unable to provide services from there for at least a month, if not more.
The reason for the delay is that Mediacom has informed the library staff that they will not begin to install telephones and other communications until then. I believe that the needs of a public not-for-profit community service that benefits the entire township should take priority over private homes. Unfortunately for us, Mediacom is a local monopoly and the community has no alternative choice.
Respectfully,
Patrick J. Perry
Tippecanoe Township

In response to the Letter to the Editor about the delay in opening the new North Webster Library, please note that according to Library Director Helen Leinbach Frank, the library is working with Mediacom to expedite the installation of telephone and internet service to our new facility.
