Pamela J. Slater
Pamela J. Slater, 71, Kewanna, Indiana, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday May 29, 2020, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital,
Winamac, Indiana.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1948, in Lee County, Va., the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Munsell) Taylor. She married Kenneth Slater on Dec. 26, 1982, in Logansport, and he survives.
Pamela had worked for Kewanna Metal Products for many years. She enjoyed researching her family genealogy, traveling, visiting historic sites especially visiting her childhood home in Virginia and was an avid country music fan.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Slater, Kewanna; daughter, Concetta “Connie” Denny, Star City;, step-daughter, Brenda Slater, Fulton; grandchildren, Amber Pugh, Logansport; Ricky Denny, Minnesota, Austin Denny, Kewanna; great grandchildren, Russell Pugh, Randy Pugh, Waylon Denny, Everett Denny; step-grandchildren, Shyann Teel, Rochester; Taylor Teel, Lafayette; brothers, Alan Wayne (Cynthia) Taylor, Twelve Mile; Les Taylor, Twelve Mile; sisters, Brenda Banter, Logansport; Jenny (Will) Dilts, Futon; Rita Layton, Twelve Mile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jeanette Taylor, step-daughter, Linda Teal, nephew, Will Dilts.
Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday June 3, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home in Fulton, Indiana. Cremation will follow visitation. Visitors are recommended to wear face masks and keep social distancing while at visitation in accordance to state COVID-19 guidelines.
