Kay L. Promkhieo
Kay L. Promkhieo, 74, North Webster, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2020, at her granddaughter’s home in Kimmell. She was born on March 15, 1946, in Warsaw to Loren T. and Betty L. (Barker) Kruger.
She was a lifetime North Webster and Cromwell area resident, attended North Webster High School, and Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne. She was married in 1998 in Thailand to Yut Promkhieo who survives. She was a hairdresser most of her life working for various beauty shops, was an auctioneer, and former owner of a barbershop in North Webster.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in North Webster and was the 1st Cutie Queen in 1950 for the Mermaid Festival.
She is survived by her husband, Yut Promkhieo, North Webster; daughter: Stacy Swinehart, Wolf Lake; two sons: Todd (Sheila) Clark of Syracuse and Randy (Valerie) McVey of Charleston, W. Va.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kurt Kruger.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Wyman officiating.
