WARSAW — A Culver man was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident.
At approximately 9:45 a.m. Friday, May 22, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to a report of a car versus pole accident at East CR 225S and South Country Club Road, Warsaw.
The crash involved a white Ford Focus driven by Brian M. Pohl, 40, Hoosier Lane, Culver. Pohl had swerved to avoid a black SUV that was turning right onto CR 225S from South Country Club Road. The vehicle struck a pole and came to rest on the passenger side. The black SUV was not hit.
Two witnesses said they both saw the black SUV entering the roadway and Pohl having to subsequently steer away from the vehicle.
Pohl complained of foot pain and had a minor hand injury. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further evaluation.
