John Robert ‘Bob’ Fisher Sr.
John Robert “Bob” Fisher Sr., 103, Milford, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. He was born on Aug. 21, 1916, in Milford, to Rev. Leroy Martin and Bertha (Bucher) Fisher.
He was a lifetime Milford area resident and graduated in 1934 from Milford High School. He was married on Oct. 9, 1949, in Churubusco to Georgia Hosler who proceeded him in Aug. 2, 2001. He was a farmer and was formerly employed at Morman Feed Sales in Quincy, Ill., Sharp Hardware in Milford, Pletcher Furniture in Nappanee, and was involved with real estate.
He was a member of the Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren in Nappanee and a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Milford.
He is survived by his three daughters: DiAnn (Kenneth) Mathews; Janet (Greg) Bowser; and Carol (Larry) Speicher, all of Milford; son, John Rupert Fisher Jr., Milford; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Francis) Korenstra, Syracuse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Howard Fisher.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Private family services will take place at a later date with burial in the Milford Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
