MILFORD — A Milford man was recently arrested after stealing a vehicle and threatening a man with a crowbar.
Kyle Thomas Henson, 35, 211 S. Higbee St., Milford, is charged with burglary, a level 4 felony; intimidation with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony; theft, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery and invasion of privacy, both class A misdemeanors.
On Dec. 9, 2019, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer went to an undisclosed location in Warsaw regarding an altercation that had just occurred. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a woman who said she was in a parking lot when she was approached by Henson.
According to court documents, the woman said a verbal argument began between her and Henson when a man at the scene told her to walk away. As the woman started walking away, Henson got in a vehicle and struck the woman’s face with an open hand. The man then yelled at Henson, who allegedly exited his vehicle and approached the man with a crowbar. Henson then left the scene.
During this incident, the woman had an active protective order against Henson, who was served the order on April 7, 2019.
On Dec. 9, 2019, the officer received information that the vehicle Henson was driving during the incident was reported stolen. The officer spoke with the vehicle’s owner, who said Henson had taken her vehicle without permission.
The vehicle’s owner said Henson was at her residence on Dec. 8, 2019. She said the only way Henson could have entered the garage where the vehicle was stored without walking through the residence was to use a garage door opener. The woman said Henson must have taken a garage door opener without her knowing.
Henson also has a second burglary case pending in Kosciusko Superior Court 1.
He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 19, with a $35,250 surety and cash bond.
