Skill, Grit And Compassion
Dear Editor,
The election for Superior Court III is very competitive with four qualified candidates vying for the judgeship. I do not know the other candidates personally or professionally except Lindsey Grossnickle. She wholeheartedly has my vote!
The reason why I endorse her is that she was my attorney. I thank God because my life and my son’s life could have looked completely different had she not been advocating for us.
Lindsey has a special combination of knowledge, skill, grit, and compassion that make a great attorney an exceptional one. She is motivated to serve others. She upholds the law, but also isn’t satisfied with status quo solutions. She knows that there are complicated problems that plague our community.
She has shown in the past that she is willing to go upstream, and educate herself and others on new solutions. She is able to put them in place in the communities she serves and see positive change as a result.
She has twenty years of experience in many different courts. She is a mediator at heart, but will also fight to the death for causes that she believes in. She truly is the type of attorney that would be happy to be out of a job because the problem or issue is resolved.
I know this because seven years ago I walked into her office with a two-month-old infant and my mother by my side. I was afraid. I felt alone. I didn’t know who to trust or how to navigate the legal system. She sat down and talked to us for over two hours.
She was no-nonsense, knowledgeable, and kind. She answered every question with ease and by the time I left I felt I could finally take a breath. I knew I could trust her to take care of us. That burden was lifted because I knew that she represented me.
She possessed all the qualities that were important to me. She was honest and had integrity. It is her calling, not her “job” to be an attorney. It was very apparent from our first meeting seven years ago. I only see a fire burning even brighter now as she seeks to serve our community as the judge.
As my attorney, she was always prepared and I felt confident in her ability inside and outside the courtroom. She had the foresight to know what my case would look like in the future. This was crucial to help prepare me mentally well before it happened. She welcomed my input, but I always knew she was the expert. I trusted her ability and judgment.
Lindsey never talked about or bragged about “wins” in court. She was always concerned as never lost sight about what was most important…the best outcome for my son. Her ego wasn’t involved. I have the utmost respect for her because I always knew that I didn’t represent just a case to her. I was a person and my son’s future was dependent on her knowledge of the law and skill.
I am sharing my experience to give you a glimpse of who Lindsey Grossnickle is as a person and as an attorney. I hope that you will also endorse her as the next judge of Superior Court III of Kosciusko County.
She is an exceptional attorney and I know that given the opportunity to serve our community as a judge, she will value each person and their case as she did mine. She will be fair and committed to justice.
This will not only benefit our community today, but will have ripple effects on our children in the future.
Thank you,
