Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 11:19 a.m. Saturday, May 9, US 30 near the intersection of East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Anshu Vohra, 39, Waterbury Ridge Lane, Dayton, Ohio; and Steven J. Beehler, Betsy Court, Warsaw. Vohra said she was driving westbound on US 30 when she saw that the traffic signal at the intersection was red and slowed down. She then said she had to press harder than usual on her brakes and could not stop in time and rear-ended Beehler’s vehicle. No injuries reported. Damage up to: $15,001.
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sherrif’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:51 a.m. Monday, May 11, west of North 300 E, on East 175 N, Warsaw. Driver: Hunter A. Lane, 20, North CR 525W, Larwill. Lane was driving westbound and collided with a deer crossing the road. No Injuries reported. Damage up to: $7,501.
- 9:16 p.m. Sunday, May 10, South SR 25 near South CR 600W, Mentone. Driver: Devin T. Hammonds, 21, North County Road 450 E, Logansport. Hammonds was driving southbound when he hit the brakes too late at a curve and hit a sign and tree. A minor injury was reported and Hammonds refused medical treatment. Damage up to: $15,001.
- 4:26 p.m. Thursday, May 7, on West Old Road 30, west of West CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: David W. Mcconnell, 64, East High St., Etna Green. Mcconnell was driving westbound on Old Road 30, and said he tried to stop for a vehicle turning at the intersection. His brakes failed and struck a guardrail causing front and passenger side damage. Damage up to: $7,501.
