Doris A. Huffman, 75, of rural Macy, passed at 4:20 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2020, at her residence after being in failing health for a short time.
Doris was born on May 13, 1944, in Terre Haute, to Homer F. and Esther L. (Ross) Monroe. She was married to Francis Freese for ten years. She then married on Jan. 25, 1977, in Rochester, to Ronald “Satch” Huffman, he survives.
She had worked at Chamberlain Products and then for Wen’s of Akron for many years.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and caring for her dogs as well as many other animals. She also had been a driver for the Amish community and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Satch Huffman, Macy; daughter, Gina Huffman, Macy; Lisa (Joe) Locke, Macy; April (Adam) Towner, Columbia City; son, Tim (Karen) Freese-Rochester; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters: Julie Martin, Lafayette; Vivian Scaggs, Rochester; Barbara Hayes, Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Viola Monroe.
Following county, state, federal, and CDC guidelines and Doris wishes no services will be held at this time.
