Kenneth E. Eby, 94, Wakarusa, passed away at 1:40 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Wakarusa. He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Elkhart to Victor and Inez (Metzler) Eby.
Kenny will be fondly remembered by his family and the entire community where he lived and worked for 94 years. He brought joy to those around him using a smirk or a smile that spoke louder than words. His memories will forever be a part of us and we are thankful that he is able to rest knowing his life was full.
Kenneth was a 1943 graduate of Wakarusa High School. On September 6, 1958 he married Shirley Schooley in Elkhart. Kenneth had worked for Lycro Products for 26 years and 36 years for Adams Westlake as a Machine Operator. He was a member of the Wakarusa Missionary Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Eby, Wakarusa; sons, Kevin (Jackie) Eby, Lexington, Ky.; and Keith Eby, Syracuse; grandchildren, Carmen, Adam, and Becca. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Louise Klein and a brother, Robert Charles Eby.
Private family services will be held with burial at Olive West Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Wakarusa Missionary Church or Bethel College.
