Stephen D. ‘Steve’ Hann
Stephen D. “Steve” Hann, 63, Nappanee, formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 9:28 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on April 24, 1956, in Elkhart, to James William and Virginia Ruth (Grimes) Hann.
He graduated in 1976 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived most of his life in the Syracuse and Nappanee area. He was a former cook at Pizza King in Warsaw and Beacon Restaurant in Syracuse, and formerly drove taxi in Plymouth.
He attended the New Paris Missionary Church.
He is survived by four brothers: Mike Hann of Syracuse, Rodney Hann of Rochester, Howard Young Jr. of Elkhart, and David Grimes of Goshen and four sisters: Deb Manns of Kendallville, Teresa Shriner of Elkhart, Sheila Roberts of Texas, and Blanche Pierce of Kentucky
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Melvin Young.
**Due to the current, unprecedented guidelines limiting public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus, Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.** Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
