WINONA LAKE — A Winona Lake-based media and content creation company is helping out local restaurants and businesses by offering in-kind video services during the pandemic.
Clear Vision Media, 801 E. Canal St., Winona Lake, was started in 2015. The company has worked with people in northern Indiana, Michigan and Florida to create media such as 360 degree virtual tours, aerial photography and HD videos.
Much of the company’s primary work involves tourism bureaus, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations, but Clear Vision also does content for small retail businesses and other firms.
During a time of many changes for local commerce, Clear Vision Media is assisting area eateries, restaurants and venues by offering 60 to 90-second video commercials to help promote what the businesses are offering or doing while the statewide stay-at-home order is in place.
“We wanted to offer short vignette videos to help businesses show people different aspects about them, like when they’re open for carryout or what new changes they’ve made to follow CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) protocol,” said Chris Sanchez, Clear Vision Media owner.
Sanchez said he was inspired by the To Go Kosciusko Facebook group, which was created by the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce. The social media page provides information on available food options and services during the pandemic.
“We wanted to add another dimension to that and help promote area commerce even further,” said Sanchez. “I think we’ve had more than 50 restaurants and organizations reach out to us for this project. We have the capacity to do this and it’s been something fun for us to do.”
Business owners and restaurant managers who are interested in having a commercial produced can contact Sanchez at clearvision.media or on his personal Facebook page.
“We’re happy that the community has embraced us and this idea,” said Sanchez. “We’re all struggling, but this is what we want to do. We want to do what we can during this time.”
