Eddie D. Howard, 62, of Pierceton, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Friday, April 17 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
Howard was born on August 6, 1957 to Rosco Howard and Nora (Conely) in New London, Ohio. His mother passed away in 1990. His father survives and resides in Pierceton.
Howard worked in the family business, Howard Logging. He was a lifelong logger and always worked along with his brothers.
He enjoyed the solidarity of the woods, to him it was a second home. It was calming to him and he relished his time in nature. Howard also enjoyed cutting and splitting wood and spending time with his family.
Howard attended the Free United Baptist Church in Sidney.
Surviving are daughters Stacie (Bill) Patrick, Larwill; April Howard, Leesburg; brothers Wayne Howard, Pierceton; Ralph Howard, Pierceton; sisters Lena (Roger) West, Pierceton; Pauline (James) Hoover, Pierceton. Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Howard’s graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 at Hillcrest Cemetary, 7015 East CR 350S, Pierceton. Pastor Etsie Allen will officiate. A love offering may be made to McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114W, North Manchester, Ind. 46962 to assist with final expenses.
