Roddy ‘Rod’ Lee Dias
Roddy “Rod” Lee Dias, 70, Wabash, died at 3:18 am, Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor East in Wabash.
He was born Aug. 2, 1949, in Wabash, to James S. Dias and Edna (Rinearson) Tyner.
Rod was a 1968 graduate of Northfield High School. He married Virginia “Jenny” (Robinson) Stapleton in Wabash on June 23, 2000. He worked at Dana in Andrews, at Controls/Invensys in North Manchester and several years at Celotex in Lagro. Rod was a member of the Lagro American Legion. He enjoyed eating, riding motorcycles and talking to people.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Dias, Wabash; three children: Anthony Dias, Bunker Hill, Angela Durben, Kokomo, and Christopher Dias, Fairmount; two grandsons: Coty Dias, Kentucky, and Brandt Durben, Kokomo; and his sister: Dixie (Tom) Sullivan, Pittsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-son, Aaron Stapleton.
Private family services will be at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
Preferred memorial is Animal Shelter of Wabash County.
