Ginger Vigar Caswell-Govett
Ginger Vigar Caswell-Govett, 57, formerly of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at her residence in California. This followed a 5 year valiant battle with cancer.
On July 7, 1962, Ginger Marie Vigar was born in Kosciusko County. She was a treasured daughter of Jimmy and Patricia A. Holloway Vigar. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister, Shelli. Ginger graduated from Caston High School. She continued her education at Indiana University at Kokomo earning an associate’s degree in criminal justice. She also attended Denver Baptist Bible College studying general education and Bible studies.
After spending most of her life in Fulton County, Ginger moved to California, working in real estate as a broker for the London Properties Group. She was a member of the Grace Community Church in Madera, CA. A devoted church member she was a member of the “Good News Club,” working at after-school programs bringing the news of the Bible and presenting activities to her students.
Left to cherish Ginger’s memory are a son Steven Caswell and wife Sherri of Westfield; 2 grandchildren, Lily and Riley; parents, Jim and Patricia Vigar of Madera, California; a sister, Shelli Freeman and husband Dan of Manhattan, Montana; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held with Pastor Rod Ruberg officiating. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
