MILFORD — Milford Food Bank, 111 S. James St., will be providing a weekly food giveaway to the public in Ligonier and Milford. The giveaway will be held at 2 p.m. twice a week, once in Ligonier and once in Milford. There is no limit to the number of people being served at each location.
No one will need to leave their vehicles. Volunteers will load individual vehicles with frozen and nonperishable food items.
The giveaway in Ligonier will take place at West Noble Primary School located on Union Street and the giveaway will be at the Milford Food Bank, at the corner of First and Emeline streets in Milford.
Normally slated for 2 p.m. every Sunday in Ligonier, this week’s giveaway will be at 2 p.m. Saturday due to Easter Sunday. Last week’s giveaway saw more than 240 cars. The event will then move back to Sundays April 19.
The event in Milford will take place every Wednesday, starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 15. Those who plan to participate in the event at the Milford Food Bank are asked to line up on James Street, from First Street where they will be directed to turn onto Emeline Street. Volunteers will be on hand to direct traffic.
