WARSAW – Zimmer Biomet is slashing wages to offset a slowdown in elective surgeries as a result of the pandemic.
In response to the need to contain costs due to the reduction in elective procedures because of COVID-19, Zimmer Biomet’s salaried team members have received temporary salary adjustments,” Monica Kendrick, vice president of external communications, said in a prepared statement following an inquiry from InkFreeNews.
The amount of the adjustment depends on their level, Kendrick said.
In addition, President and CEO Bryan Hanson is forgoing 100 percent of his salary.
Hourly team members are not receiving salary adjustments, she said.
