Woman Faces Charges In Battery Incident
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman faces charges following an alleged incident of domestic violence in the presence of a minor.
Vianca Tamara Cruz Colon, 26, 313 Kinney Drive, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on March 23, a Warsaw Police officer was dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a location in Kosciusko County.
The officer spoke with a man who said when he returned to the residence, a verbal argument started between himself and Cruz Colon.
The man said Cruz Colon attempted to hit him in front of a minor while in the child’s bedroom. The man said he went to the kitchen area of the residence in order to separate himself from Cruz Colon; however, the man said Cruz Colon followed him and slapped him on the left side of his face.
Cruz Colon allegedly admitted to slapping the man in the face during an argument, according to information found in the affidavit.
Cruz Colon was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail March 23, on a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
