Rent Is Due, But Indiana And Michigan Are Trying To Help
SOUTH BEND — Today is the first day of the month, which means rent is due for millions of jobless people.
Analysts predict the unemployment rate will soar to 15 percent this month.
The government is stepping up to help.
In 26 states governors have imposed a temporary pause on evictions or foreclosures. That includes Indiana and Michigan.
Relief checks are coming for Americans, but it will take at least 3 weeks to arrive.
