Jeffrey Alan ‘Jeff’ Sheetz
Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Sheetz of Warsaw, passed away at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne, at the age of 56.
He was born on Nov. 5, 1963, to Carol S. (Greer) Sheetz and Larry D. Sheetz. Jeff was one of four children born to Carol and Larry. On Jan. 14, 2010, he was married to Di’Ana (Rodriguez) Sheetz.
Jeff proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the destroyer tender USS Puget Sound in Italy. He was honorably discharged in July 1986.
He was a hard-working and good man, known for his kind heart, generous soul, amazing nature and the biggest smile. He was devoted and dedicated to his family and friends. He enjoyed playing with the grandchildren, camping, swimming, and shooting guns. He was a member of Tactical Advantage Shooting Club, and his passion was the open road. He along with his wife, Dee, owned Sheetz Custom Transport. Jeff also worked for many years as a commercial driver for Holland Transportation in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Jeff lived for the love of his soulmate, friend and devoted wife, Di’Ana. If you had seen one, you would have seen the other… always hand in hand. They accomplished each other, and they inspired many through his journey with cancer. He empowered others with his friendship, unconditional love, faith, courage, strength, and devotion to inspire all his cancer brothers and sisters. To have known Jeff, was to love him. He always said “cancer is not a death sentence, but a condition of life. It’s what we choose to make of it.” He was a blessing from God in the form of an angel put here on earth. We now return him to God’s heavenly home and arms to take his place in heaven. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. He was an undeniable and precious gift to all who were blessed to call him father, husband, son, and friend. (RIP)
He will be remembered by his beloved wife, Di’Ana Sheetz, Warsaw; eight children, thirty-one grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his father, Larry D. Sheetz, Plymouth; and three brothers: Ronald Sheetz, Ohio; Charlie and James Sheetz, both of Indiana.
