Bernadine A. Blair,
Bernadine A. Blair, 80, Warsaw, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., in her residence. She was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Carteret, N.J. to Michael and Irene (Gombos) Hila. She was united in marriage to Roger Blair in Paintsville, Ky. on Jan. 15, 1980.
Bernadine graduated from Carteret High School in New Jersey and continued her education at Naples Florida obtaining a degree in nursing. She was employed as an Executive Secretary at the Bowen Center, Collier County Florida office. She also worked at the Salvation Army as a secretary and a member of the Salvation Army Women’s League. Bernadine loved her family and her dog, Ginger. She enjoyed reading, jewelry, sewing, gardening and crafts.
Survivors include husband, Roger Blair of Warsaw; children, James (Debbie) Tedesco of Naples, Fla., Marc (Lyli) Denz of Evansville, Noreen (Larry) Priser, Gene (Amanda) Denz both of Warsaw; step-daughters, Terrie (Bill) Landrum-Prater, Kris (Ken) Allen both of Warsaw. She is also survived by sibling, Michaeline Odom of Long Branch, N.J. 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Doris Newshafer, and granddaughter Tiffanee’ Landrum.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 3, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw . Visitation is limited to ten persons at a time, please use good judgement on length of visit. Bernadine’s Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 4, in the Funeral Chapel. Pastor Charles Trout will officiate with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
