Normal Trash Pickup In Mentone Resumes Wednesday
MENTONE — Starting Wednesday, April 1, trash pickup in Mentone returns to its normal schedule.
According to Mentone Town Council member Tim Croy, the town was notified by Valley Sanitation last week.
Regular trash pickup in Mentone briefly stopped due to Valley Sanitation’s concern for the health of its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Saturday, March 21, the town and Valley Sanitation provided six dumpsters in the parking lot at the corner of West Main Street/SR 25 and Tucker Street for residents to dispose of their trash during the trash pickup stoppage.
On Saturday, March 28, Croy said the dumpsters were removed and regular trash pickup will resume on April 1. He stressed all trash must be bagged.
According to Croy, Valley Sanitation decided to resume regular trash pickup due to procuring protective equipment for its employees.
