Indiana Health Department Reports More Than 20 Virus-Related Deaths
INDIANAPOLIS — More than 6,900 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Indiana as of Friday, March 27, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
The latest posting on the ISDH website shows the number of deaths increased from 17 on Thursday to 24 on Friday morning.
The number of positive cases in Indiana totals 981, up from 645 on Thursday.
The number of total tests is 6,936.
Kosciusko, Whitley and Fulton Counties have each reported one positive case of COVID-19. Marshall County has reported four positive cases, and Elkhart County has reported nine positive cases.
Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state, with 484 positive tests.
In northern Indiana, Lake County has 47 positive cases; St. Joseph County has 27 positive cases; and Allen County has 21 positive cases.
