Denver Charles
Denver Charles, 78, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1941, to Jeff and Emma (Justice) Charles in Greasy Creek, Kentucky. He married Ruth Oswald on September 22, 1962.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Charles; two children, Tony Charles of Goshen and Connie (Douglas) Hansen of Syracuse; six grandchildren, Carl (Misti) Yoder of Millersburg, Shane (Hailee) Charles of New Paris, Carrie (Brent) Flaugh of Syracuse, Heather (David) Burke of Middlebury, Amanda (Adam) Wallace of Middlebury, and Beth (Matt) Griggs of Dunlap; six great grandchildren, Izabelle Yoder, Carter and Kayden Pederson, David Burke III, Addalyn Griggs and Vincent Smith; and siblings, Earsil Charles of Kentucky and Gary (Charlene) Charles of Florida.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters, and three brothers.
Denver worked at Smoker Craft for 21 years, retiring in 1996.
Mr. Charles was a United States army veteran, where he was honorably discharged in 1961. He was a former member of the DAV.
A private burial will take place at Solomon Creek Cemetery, Syracuse.
