Attorney To Discuss Teaching Concepts Of Jury Trials Abroad
WARSAW — Local attorney David Kolbe will hold a presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, on his experiences teaching American criminal jury trial for the law faculty at European University, Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.
The program will take place at the Warsaw Community Public Library.
Kolbe will offer a glimpse into life in Georgia’s bustling capital and introduce the audience to the charm of the Georgian people. Kolbe has been a local attorney for nearly 39 years in Kosciusko County and previously served as prosecuting attorney. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Colorado as well. Kolbe is also a former instructor in American politics at Indiana University/Purdue University Fort Wayne and is currently a senior visiting professor for the Center for International Legal Studies based in Salzburg, Austria. He has previously taught in Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Albania and, most recently, Georgia. In 2002 he traveled with a legal delegation to the Republic of Cuba as part of the People to People International cultural exchange.
Kolbe and his family live in southwest rural Kosciusko County and he maintains a law practice in Warsaw.
