Panthers, Tigers Lead All-NLC Hoops
GOSHEN – NorthWood’s state championship run started with an undefeated run in the Northern Lakes Conference. The league formally issued its All-Conference list Monday morning, featuring NorthWood’s title.
The Panthers went 7-0 in the league and had three of its starters make All-NLC in Maddy Payne, Kate Rulli and Alea Minnich. Kendal Miller was named Honorable Mention All-NLC and Adam Yoder was tabbed by his peers as Coach of the Year.
Warsaw’s only loss was to NorthWood, and as a result the Tigers were second place at 6-1. Brielle Harrison and Kensie Ryman were both All-NLC and Kaylee Patton was tabbed Honorable Mention.
Northridge and Concord were both 4-3 in the league, the Raiders getting Jaci Walker and Juliana Weaver onto the All-NLC list and Makena Knepp onto the Honorable Mention. Kendal Swartout and Jadelyn Williams were All-NLC for the Minutemen and Devine Johnson was Honorable Mention.
Wrapping up the All-NLC picks were De’Mour Watson of Memorial (1-6), Brynn Shoup-Hill of Goshen (3-4) and Claire Tanner of Plymouth (2-5).
Honorables went to Alaina Clady of Plymouth and Mya Reeves of Memorial.
