Man Arrested After Allegedly Slamming Woman’s Head Into Washing Machine
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly choking and battering a woman.
Trenton Lamar Thornburg, 24, 4600 N. CR 250E, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present; and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 8, police were dispatched to a location in Warsaw in reference to a domestic disturbance.
An officer from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office spoke with a woman at the location, who said she and Thornburg were arguing over the use of his cell phone.
The woman said Thornburg became angry and placed her in a choke hold. Thornburg then allegedly twisted the woman’s arm, took her phone from her, grabbed her by her hair and slammed her head into a washing machine. It was reported that Thornburg also kicked her.
The woman sought medical treatment for a concussion and injuries to her abdomen, her right hand, and her left knee.
A juvenile was at the residence during the time the dispute took place.
Thornburg was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail Feb. 8, on a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
