David O. Starner
David O. Starner, 59, of rural Claypool, went home to be with the Lord at 1 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at IU Health Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis.
He was born on Jan. 22, 1961, in Rochester, to the late Robert and Glenda (Holle) Starner. He married on Jan. 1, 1985, on Barbee Lake to Kristina McDaniel, she survives.
David had been a welder and a fabricator for Craig Welding and also at Parker Equipment. He was a 1980 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. He enjoyed farming and working on many projects which included his tractors and trucks. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kris Starner, Claypool; sons: Zachary (Heather) Starner, Claypool; Jacob Starner, Claypool; Brodie Starner, Claypool; grandchildren: Adalyn, Elaine and Booker; sister, Susan (Tim) Werstler, Pierceton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marsha Starner.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, with Pastor Derrick Harris officiating.
The burial will take place in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Visitation hours will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
