Edna Irene Lehman
Edna Irene Lehman, 94, of Warsaw went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, Jan. 28, 2020. Edna was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Kosciusko County, the daughter of George and Christina (Kammerer) Lehman.
Edna was a lifetime area resident of Kosciusko County. She graduated from Leesburg High School in 1943 and went on to work for United Telephone Company before retiring after 42 years with them. She was a member of the Milford Apostolic Christian Church and the silver thimble club. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and Holland Michigan, shopping and most of all nurturing her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by two brothers, George Lehman of Milford, Howard Lehman of Fort Myers, Fla., several nieces and nephews, Martin E. “Butch” (Kathleen) Stookey Jr., Randy (Marlene) Stookey both of Warsaw, Mike (Judy) Roberts of Larwill, Jayne (Jim) Wolfe of Nappanee, Luann (Dale) Cox of Plymouth, Robin (John LeCount) Lehman of Syracuse, Christina (Bill) Rogers of New Paris, Sally (Jeff) Dean of Wisconsin and Sue (Tim) Minch of Wisconsin. Also surviving are many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death her parents and two sisters, Lorene Stookey and Helen Roberts.
A funeral service to celebrate Edna’s life will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday January 31, 2020 at the Milford Apostolic Christian Church, Pastor Randy Beer will be officiating the service. Burial will immediately follow in the Milford Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 30,at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 W 900 N, Milford, IN 46542 and one hour prior to the service at the Milford Apostolic Christian Church on Friday.
Memorial donations in Edna’s honor may be given to the Milford Apostolic Christian Church.
