Betty Jean Miller — UPDATED
Betty Jean Miller, 73, Macy, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at her residence.
On Aug. 29, 1946, Betty Ogle was born in Rochester. She was a treasured daughter of Russell and Helen McClaran Ogle. As one of eight children, she lived her entire life in the Fulton County community.
With a strong work ethic, Miller worked at Lau Industries as a finisher from 1976 to 2009. To relax, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching Westerns. Long John Silver’s was her favorite place to dine. Miller cherished the time spent with her family and her treasured canine companion, Muffy the Shih Tzu.
She is lovingly remembered by a daughter: Tracy Cave (companion Chad Carpenter) Rochester; three grandchildren: Sheena (Aaron) Burchett, Brandon (Chrissy) Icenberg, and Nicholas (Brenda) Cave, all of Rochester; four great-grandchildren: Camren Gibbs, Peyton Icenberg, Caelynn Gibbs and Aiden Cave; three sisters: Doris Turnpaugh, Macy; Barbara (Ron) Thompson, Rochester; and Shirley (Jim) Cox, Denver; a brother: Thomas Ogle, Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents: Russell and Helen Ogle; and three sisters: Carolyn Stuber, Patricia Powell and Diane Mitchell.
Private family services will be held to honor Betty’s wishes. Good Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
