Warsaw Housing Authority Says It Will Not Cease Operations
MILFORD — The housing authority that serves Warsaw and Goshen is pushing back against a rumor.
Over the past several weeks, the North Central Indiana Housing has received multiple questions regarding whether or not it will cease operating the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program for the City of Warsaw, according to a news release issued by the agency.
In response to these queries, the Housing Authority would like to formally announce that the HCV program for Warsaw will remain active, as well as the City of Goshen’s, the release said.
“Rumors about the Warsaw Housing Authority closing are completely unfounded,” says Executive Director Pamela Kennedy. “Although we no longer administer the Kosciusko County, Marshall County and Fulton County voucher programs, there have been no discussions about closing down the Warsaw or Goshen programs.”
The housing agency has run separate programs Kosciusko County and Warsaw. Responsibility for the county voucher programs was transferred to Brightpoint, which is located in Fort Wayne, last fall.
