Charles Le Roy Carpenter
Charles Le Roy Carpenter, 82, Etna Green, passed away at 5:19 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, in his residence. He was born June 5, 1937, in Stockbridge, Mich. to Franklin Pierce and Elda (Arnett) Carpenter. Charles was united in marriage to Mary Creamer at Hoffman Lake May of 1985. He was a graduate of Rochester High School and was an Excavator retiring in 2000. Charles was an avid fisherman, motorcyclist and enjoyed camping with his family and was a shuffleboard enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, of 34 years, Mary Carpenter; children John (Teri) Carpenter, Cindy (Ralph) Howard, Ted (Robin) Carpenter, Ivory (Judy) Snipes, Leon (Sandy) Smith and his sister Mona Dean (Ron) Flood. In addition, he is survived by twenty grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw and one hour prior to his Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan., 23. Pastor Glenn Hall will officiate the service with interment in Etna Green Cemetery.
