UPDATE: More Details Released On Walgreens Robbery Suspect
WARSAW — The Warsaw Police Department is seeking information regarding a robbery that occurred at Walgreens.
At approximately 2:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a reported robbery at Walgreens, 2400 E. Center St., Warsaw.
According to a press release from the police department, a white male suspect, wearing a black sock hat and a black coat, entered the business and proceeded to the pharmacy. There, he demanded narcotics from the pharmacy technician. During that time, he placed his hand in his coat pocket and victims feared he was armed.
While in possession of narcotics, the suspect fled on foot west of the business. Officers arrived on scene and quickly began a search of the area with a K9 unit. Evidence was found discarded in the area of Market Street and McKinley Street. It is believed the suspect may have fled in a vehicle at that location.
