Warsaw Library Trustees Hold Annual Board Of Finance Meeting
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community Public Library Board of Trustees held its annual board of finance meeting after a brief regular meeting session on Monday, Jan. 13.
Library Business Manager Renee Sweeny delivered her 2019 investment report to the board. In total, the library has $8,890,000 in investments at three local banks. There is a $6,578,000 investment at 1st Source Bank; $1,798,000 at Lake City Bank; and $514,000 at Mutual Bank.
The board also reviewed the library’s investments’ policy and approved it.
During the board of trustees’ regular meeting, Library Director Ann Zydek said Jeff Kumfer, SRKM Architecture LLC, expects to be at the board’s February meeting to discuss the library’s dry fire protection system project. Zydek also said a sump pump outside of the library’s cataloging area was recently repaired due to a broken seal.
The library’s LULA (limited use/limited application) elevator is also currently experiencing door issues on the building’s upper level.
“We don’t know if it’s magnets or what it is,” said Zydek. “We still have a few quirks with it that we’re trying to figure out. We’ve also been working on the phone in there because 911 said they could not hear us and so now there’s an audio message on there which records, which they can hear.”
The board’s next meeting will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10.
