Syracuse Bicyclist Injured Following Collision Saturday
SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man riding a bike was injured after he was hit by a vehicle Saturday.
At about 12:15 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, officers with the Syracuse Police Department responded to an accident at South Front Street/East Baltimore near 103 South Front Street, Syracuse.
Lon D. White, 59, East Baltimore Street, Syracuse suffered a facial injury after he was hit on his bicycle by a vehicle driven by Sydney E. Miller, 26, East Divot Lane, Syracuse, according to an accident report from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
The extent of White’s injury is unknown.
Miller said she was driving her brown 2013 Buick Verano south on Front Street. She said she looked down at her phone to make a phone call. She said she looked back up and her vehicle struck White while on his yellow bicycle, said the accident report.
White was transported to Parkview Fort Wayne by ambulance.
Police estimated damages up to $1,000. No other information was available.
