Man Arrested For Allegedly Making Threats At Bowen Center
WARSAW — An Argos man was recently arrested after allegedly threatening to burn down the Bowen Center facility in Warsaw.
Dalton James Jenney, 21, 14832 Maple Road, Argos, is charged with two counts of intimidation and battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, all level 6 felonies.
On Jan. 7, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a battery complaint at Bowen Center in Warsaw. The officer met with two employees, who said that Jenney was discontent and threatened to burn the building down.
Jenney is a resident of the skills center at the Bowen Center, according to a court affidavit.
According to court documents, the employees were told by a resident that Jenney had purchased a lighter earlier in the day. The employees approached Jenney to take possession of the lighter, which he eventually turned over to them. Later, one of the employees entered Jenney’s room and asked him to get up from his bed. Jenney then kicked the employee in the stomach. After Jenney kicked the employee, he threatened to harm her further if she did not leave the room.
The employees also told the officer that after the incident, Jenney packed some bags and demanded the return of his lighter. One of the employees said Jenney told them he was going to go to a gas station to buy another lighter and that he was going to return to the facility and burn it down.
Jenney was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Jan. 7, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
