Indiana State Museum Offers Free Admission For MLK Day
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Museum is offering free admission on Jan. 20 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The museum will have special activities in observance of MLK Day. Visitor will be able to see some of Dr. King’s most iconic speeches, experience activities themed around civil and human rights, create a “Dream” mural, and reflect on what you can do to ensure Dr. King’s dream lives on for future generations.
Visitors can also explore the entire museum for free throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan 20.
There will also be free admission offered at all of the museum system’s currently-open historic sites around the state:
- Angel Mounds – Evansville
- Corydon Capitol – Corydon
- Culbertson Mansion – New Albany
- Levi and Catharine Coffin – Fountain City
- Lanier Mansion – Madison
- Limberlost – Geneva
- T.C. Steele – Nashville
- Vincennes – Vincennes

The Indiana State Museum will be collecting canned food donations for Gleaners Food Bank on Jan. 20.
