Loa Ann Dahl
Loa Ann Dahl, 86, Syracuse, passed away at 12.43 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on Sept. 24, 1933, in Piqua, Ohio, to Roy J. and Loretta (Griffin) Sellers.
She attended Elkhart High School in Elkhart and moved to Syracuse in 1961 from Jacksonville, N.C. She was formerly married to Oscar E. Dahl and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and was a cook and waitress for several Syracuse area restaurants.
She attended the Syracuse Baptist Church, formerly volunteered for special education classes for ten years, worked at Cardinal Center in Warsaw for several years, and was an assistant house parent for A.D.E.C. Group Home. She enjoyed visiting the Syracuse Senior Community Center where she played euchre and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Robin Dahl of Goshen and Darla (Gary) Rogers of Gladstone, Mo.; son, Tom Dahl of Syracuse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brenda Dahl, granddaughter, Jolena Dahl, two sisters, Glendora Madlem and Barbara Bontrager, and six brothers, Marvin, Howard “Harv”, Charles, Jesse, Howard, and Charles Sellers.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Memorial services will be at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
