Alcoholic Beverage Board Approves Permit For New Syracuse Restaurant
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Alcohol and Tobacco Commission approved an alcoholic beverage permit for a new Syracuse restaurant during a meeting on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Elizabeth Kennedy, owner of Cafe Liefde, 105 W. Main St., Syracuse, was present at the meeting in regards to the permit. Cafe Liefde will be a restaurant with a small bar, offering café style and sharable foods.
The following permits were renewed during the meeting:
- United Oil Corporation, doing business as United Deli, 7487 E. Old Road 30, Pierceton. Beer and wine dealer – grocery store.
- BPO Elks 802, doing business as B.P.O.E. #802, 310 E. Center St., Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor – fraternal club.
- Rozella Ford LLC, doing business as Rosella Ford Golf Club and Lounge, 1700 Rosella Road, Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor – restaurant.
Board Members Dan Woods and Alan Alderfer also made a motion to have Board President Elim Smith continue serving as the board’s president for 2020. Smith has served as the Alcoholic Beverage Board’s president since 2018.
The board’s next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
