Keith W. Cripe
Keith W. Cripe, 89, of North Manchester, died at 6:11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at the Cripe family farm, North Manchester.
He was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Whitely County to Harold W. and Ethel M. (Michel) Cripe, both of whom are deceased.
He was a farmer and a machinist for Zollner Pistons in Fort Wayne for 27 years.
He married Margaret A. Kyler on Jan. 13, 1951. She survives.
Survivors include sons, Daniel (Nancy) Cripe, Bluffton, Rodney (Sue) Cripe, Servia, Philip (Joni) Cripe, North Manchester, and Ronald Cripe, Preston, Ky.; daughters, Connie (Terry) Hunter, Silver Lake, Linda (Dan) Fox, North Manchester, and Mary (Jerry) Bolinger, North Manchester; a brother, Ernest Cripe, North Manchester; a sister, Dorothy (Dan) May, North Manchester; Twenty-one grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One daughter-in-law, Teresa Cripe, preceded him in death.
He was a US Army veteran and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953.
Keith always put his wife, children, and grandbabies first. Not only did he show his children the value of hard work, but he taught them the importance of being a faithful servant to Jesus Christ. Every Sunday he would take his family to church, this is where he served in the choir and taught Sunday School. He was a good Christian example and a proud veteran.
He attended South Whitley Church of God, South Whitley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 West, North Manchester, Ind. Pastor Douglas Reichenbach will officiate. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at McKee Mortuary.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, CR 300E and CR 100N, Servia.
