Warsaw Man Faces Multiple Charges After Menards Theft
WARSAW — A Warsaw man faces multiple theft charges.
Chad Preston Hall, 32, 180 South CR 400W, Warsaw, was arrested on a warrant for charges including theft, a level 6 felony; theft, a class A misdemeanor; and theft prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
On Nov. 27, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a theft report at Menards on Nov. 26. A Menards employee told police that a man arrived at the store and selected multiple items of merchandise valued greater than $750. The employee said that the man allegedly attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. He was stopped by an employee and asked to pay, but proceeded to another exit and left the store with the items, said the affidavit of probable cause.
Police positively identified Hall based on still images from surveillance footage.
According to the affidavit, Hall was previously convicted of theft in 2015.
Hall was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 20 with a bond of $5,850 surety and cash.
