Beulah M. Shaffer, 95, formerly of Churubusco, died at 7:19 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, at North Ridge Village, Albion, where she had been a resident since 2015.
Born Jan. 30, 1924, in Huntertown, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Erma B. (Hippenhammer) Harding. Her formative years were spent in the Wolf Lake area, where she graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1942.
On April 29, 1945, she was united in marriage to Homer O. Shaffer. They always made their home in the Merriam area. Mr. Shaffer died Jan. 31, 2008.
For 42 years, she was a factory employee for General Electric, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the General Electric ELEX Club and Quarter Century Club.
She is survived by a son: John Shaffer, Tri-Lakes; and two grandsons: Cody Shaffer and Jamison Shaffer.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, Homer, she is preceded in death by a son: Richard E. Shaffer.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam, US 33 and W400S, Noble County.
