Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
7:37 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, South SR 15 near West CR 200S, Warsaw. Driver: Misty L. Prater, 41, South Graceland Avenue, Claypool. Prater was driving her vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
6:36 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, South CR 350E near East Wilcox Road, Warsaw. Driver: Shelley A. Hand, 49, South CR 350E, Warsaw. Hand was driving her vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
5:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, North CR 300E near East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Brittney M. White, 34, East CR 450N, Leesburg. White was driving her vehicle north on CR 300E when she thought she felt her vehicle hit something. She said she turned around and found a woman standing by the road. Mindy S. Yeazel, 34, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, said she was walking alongside the roadway when she heard White’s vehicle approaching from behind her. She said she got further off the roadway and that is when she was hit by White’s vehicle. Damages up to $1,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department responded to the following accident:
4:16 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 1201 South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Jerry L. Slabaugh, 71, CR 48, Nappanee; and Donald A. Leemon, 65, EMS D18C Lane, Syracuse. Slabaugh said he was driving his vehicle out of the Chubbie’s parking lot when Leemon turned their vehicle into the parking lot, causing a collision with a trailer attached to Slabaugh’s vehicle. Damages up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
10:02 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, South Lake Street near West Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kara N. Camp, 31, St Mary’s Drive, Warsaw; and Gavin J. Truex, South Wausau Street, Warsaw. Camp said that she was driving her vehicle south on Lake Street when the sun affected her vision, causing the front of her vehicle to collide with the rear of Truex’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
1:48 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, Springhill Road near Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Joshua J. Orth, 37, Macpherson Drive, New Haven; and Debra A. Gilliam, 65, East CR 175N, Warsaw. While in the left turn lane on Springhill Road, the front of Orth’s vehicle collided with the rear of Gilliam’s vehicle. Damages up to $1,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, CR 450N and CR 100W. Driver: Joshua D. Conley, 34, Rochester. Hit deer.
7:16 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, CR 300S and US 31, Rochester. Driver: Jody J. Cameron, 62, Rochester. Cameron’s vehicle slid off the road. Cameron hit her head on the steering wheel and was checked by paramedics.
6:0 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, SR 14 and CR 750W. Driver: Madison T. Bloomfield, 18, Monterey. Hit deer.
6:12 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, CR 100N and CR 500W. Driver: David O. Daulton, 64, Rochester, Hit deer.
9:44 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, CR 500N and CR 800W. Police were notified a vehicle went off the road and drove through four gates and hit four fence posts.
2:19 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, Washington Street and Olson Road. Driver: Timothy J. Wilson, 34, Culver. Wilson’s vehicle went off the road, hitting a fence.
11:19 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, CR 700E and Division Road, Akron. Driver: Richard L. Shoemaker, 43, Rochester. Shoemaker’s vehicle went off the road and rolled over. He was not injured.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accident:
10:47 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, CR 31, north of CR 50, four miles south of Goshen. Drivers: Maria Neri, 31, Cromwell. Neri complained of pain to her head and both arms. She was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Neri’s vehicle went off the road hitting a mailbox and tree, causing her vehicle to roll over.
