Carol Louise Scott
Carol Louise Scott, 78, formerly of Rochester passed away at 4:01 AM on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
On Dec. 24, 1940, in Logansport, Carol Louise Coffman was born. She was a treasured daughter of Alva L. and Fannie Mathilda Crooks Coffman. Growing up she shared her childhood with two sisters, Alma and Frances.
Carol and L. “Wendell” Scott were married on June 30, 1963. They have shared 56 years of life’s adventures. Their union produced three sons, Roger, Gary and Glen. They are also blessed with five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Faith was an important component of Carol’s moral virtues. As a child, she grew up at the Olive Branch Church of Fulton. During her adult life, she was a member of the Tiosa 1st Brethren Church, then more recently the Whippoorwill Church. Paramount in Carol’s life was her family. As the matriarch of the Scott family, she was proud to oversee four generations. Grandma Scott enjoyed making memories at special family celebrations and the holidays.
Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her husband, Wendell; two sons Gary Scott and wife Karen of Macy; Glen Scott and wife Angela of Shipshewana; daughter-in-law, Joan Scott of Rochester; five grandchildren, Anna Scott, Abigail Scott, Aaron Scott and wife Haley, Adam Scott, Zoe Scott; two great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Oliver Williams and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Carol in death were her parents, son Roger Scott on Aug. 19, 2018, two sisters, Alma Reffett and Frances McKissick.
A celebration of the life of Mrs. Carol L. Scott will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester with Pastor Brian Sewell officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Reichter Cemetery northeast of Rochester.
