George T. Bowler
George T. Bowler, 83, Milford, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, at his home. He was born on October 28, 1936, in Warsaw, to Clarence G. and Avis E. (Reichard) Bowler.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko County area resident and graduated in 1955 from Milford High School. He was married on Dec. 1, 1957, in Winona Lake, to Janice A. “Jan” Losee, who survives. He retired in 2002 from Johnson Controls in Goshen after 39 years of service and formerly worked for Milford Machine in Leesburg for eight years.
He was a member of the Church of God in North Webster and formerly attended the Church of the Brethren in Syracuse. He loved to be outside in the yard and traveling, especially near the ocean.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Lisa Henson, Milford; two sons: Kevin Bowler and Steve (Amiee) Bowler, both of Milford; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Private burial will take place in the Milford Cemetery at a later date.
