Lorree A. Corbat
Lorree A. Corbat, 65, Syracuse, passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at her home. She was born on July 22, 1954 in Fort Wayne, to Maurice Reed and Donna Lorree (Rockwell) Snyder.
She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and graduated in 1973 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. She was married on June 4, 1998, in Syracuse, to Thomas M. “Tom” Corbat who preceded her on Nov. 26, 2013. She formerly worked at K.M.C. Controls in New Paris for 23 years and bartended for the American Legion & Eagles Lodge both in Syracuse.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 223 Auxiliary in Syracuse, and Eagles Lodge in Syracuse.
She is survived by two sons: Jason (Kyra) Mench, Marion; Jeremiah Mech, Syracuse; four step daughters: Rebecca Pfieffer of Fort Wayne; Lisa Nichols of Orange Park, Fla.; Nicole (Eric) Shaekle of Columbia City; and Melissa (Chris) Fraize of Anchorage, Alaska; her twin sister, Laura Keller, Fort Wayne; two brothers: David (Pauline) Snyder of LaPorte; and Daniel (Beth) Snyder of Indianapolis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Neva O’Connor, and two brothers, Paul and James Snyder.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Helm of the Sunnycrest United Methodist Church in Marion. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery in Arcola.
