Warsaw Man Arrested For Strangulation, Battery
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for a 2016 incident where he allegedly strangled a woman.
Bryan Alano Ramsey, 41, 520 N. Park Ave., Warsaw, is charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony; and battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 18, 2016, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a battery complaint. When the officer arrived, he spoke with a woman at the scene who said she was asleep when she woke up and saw Ramsey sitting on her bed.
According to court documents, Ramsey followed the woman around the house and threatened her, saying he “could end her life.” Ramsey also took the woman’s phone and car keys, ignoring her request to give them to her.
While in the kitchen, Ramsey began choking the woman. He also pushed her, picked her up by the face and threw her, causing her to hit her head on the floor.
The woman was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for her injuries. A no-contact order has been placed between the woman and Ramsey.
Ramsey was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 4, 2019, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
