WARSAW 36, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 32
Warsaw’s freshmen boys basketball team topped Tippecanoe Valley on the road Monday night.
The Tigers jumped out to a 19-11 halftime lead but fell behind by a tentative, 28-27 margin after Valley exploded for 17 points in the third period.
Theo Katris and Russ Winchester scored 10 points apiece for Warsaw, while Drew Heckaman scored nine. Valley results were unavailable.
Warsaw will be back in action at home Wednesday against Carroll. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
FAIRFIELD 8th 30, LAKEVIEW 27 OT
Lakeview’s eighth grade boys fell in an overtime heartbreaker with Fairfield Monday night.
Matthew Mulligan put up 10 points for Lakeview, while Andrew Potter scored five points and pulled down seven rebounds, Leyton Isbell chipped in another five points, and Julian Saldivar served up four assists.
NORTHWOOD 7TH 31, MILFORD 15
NorthWood’s seventh grade doubled up Milford in a game Monday night.
Brayden Miller led Milford in scoring with nine points. NorthWood stats were unavailable.
WAWASEE 6TH ‘A’ 38, CENTRAL NOBLE 22
WAWASEE 6TH ‘B’ 4, CENTRAL NOBLE 2
Wawasee’s sixth grade boys won both games in a showdown with Central Noble Monday evening.
The ‘A’ team recorded nine assists, nine steals, 16 rebounds and two blocked shots, and all but two players made the scoring column in a high-effort win. The ‘B’ team showcased a strong effort on the defensive end and on the boards in a two-quarter win, meanwhile.
