Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
4:33 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, SR 15, south of West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Driver: Thelma E. Ehrick, 50, Sycamore Street, Silver Lake. Ehrick’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
5:27 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, Old Road 30, east of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: Trenton Osborn, 25, EMS B60 Lane, Warsaw. Osborn was traveling east on Old Road 30 when a deer ran into the side of his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
9:14 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, US 30 and Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Brian D. Wallen, 57, Paxton Drive, Warsaw; and Michael E. Garee, 68, West CR 600N, Warsaw. Wallen did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection of US 30 and Fox Farm Road, and the vehicles collided. Both Walden and Garee were taken to the hospital with complaints of pain in their entire bodies. Damage up to $50,000.
7:11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, US 30, east of South CR 450E, Warsaw. Drivers: Steven A. Secrist, 67, Nancy Drive, Warsaw; and Emily R. Easterday, 20, Maple Street, South Whitley. Secrist stated he had a coughing fit and passed out. His vehicle crossed the median and struck Easterday’s vehicle. Secrist was taken to the hospital with complaint of pain throughout his entire body. Easterday was taken to the hospital with complaint of pain over her entire body. A passenger in Secrist’s vehicle, Donita Secrist, 67, Nancy Drive, Warsaw, was also taken to the hospital with complaint of pain throughout her entire body. Damage up to $50,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:53 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, Husky Trail, Warsaw. A vehicle was parked in the parking lot at Martin’s Supermarket and was struck by another vehicle while parked and unoccupied. Damage up to $2,500.
