2019 Chamber Award Nominations End Dec. 6
WARSAW — Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for its 2019 Chamber Awards.
The Chamber annually honors businesses and individuals for their role in business, community and economic growth in Kosciusko County. The Chamber is currently accepting award nominations to honor said businesses. Award nominees must be current members of the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce. Self-nomination is encouraged, said a news release from the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 6. Click here to nominate a business or individual.
The dinner will be Jan. 30 at Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center in Winona Lake.
Below is a recap of the categories.
- Woman of the Year
Any woman who resides in Kosciusko County and has made a contribution to the quality of line in the county. Nominees must reside in the county for no less than five years prior to nomination.
- Man of the Year
Any man who resides in Kosciusko County had as made a contribution to the quality of life in the county. Nominees must reside in the county for no less than five years prior to nomination.
- Government Excellence
Any official, elected or appointed, who has performed a particular service or overall effectiveness in office on behalf of residents in Kosciusko County. Nominees must currently hold a local, state or federal office; or have been out of office for no more than two years and has demonstrated a commitment to supporting business in the county.
- Young Adult Professional
Any person 39 years or younger and is employed in Kosciusko County. Nominees must have achieved success and excellence in their field before the age by demonstrating leadership, initiative, dedication to pursuing their careers and commitments outside of work.
- Business of the Year
This award honors a Kosciusko Chamber member that has exhibited exemplary leadership, business growth and service to the community. The recipient will be recognized as a leader in the business community and as serving as a positive example of business practices.
- Launchpad Family Friendly Business
This is a new award from the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce. The award will be given to a business that provides innovative and creative solutions to support their employees as they navigate through their family and/or child care needs.
- Making a Difference
Nominees are for a business, non-profit or service organization that has made a significant impact in Kosciusko County. The organization should also be a participant in the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
- Rising Star
In its third year, this award celebrates Kosciusko County’s highest performing new companies and recognizes those that have exceeded initial targets for growth and financial performance; demonstrating an understanding of their competitors, customers and the markets in which they operate. Nominees must have foundations in place for continued commercial success.
- Health & Wellness in the Workplace
Awarded to a chamber member that has created and maintained healthy practices in its workplaces. Criteria includes wellness activities, employee engagement, access to resources and a healthy environment.
Chamber Award winners for 2019 will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Membership Dinner in Jan. 2020. Winners must be present to receive their award.
